The Purpose of Comfort in Affliction

1. Share a time when you experienced God's deep comfort. What happened? How did you
know the comfort was from God? What was one thing you learnt about God or yourself
through this experience? Did it help you comfort others better?

2. If God is the one who provides comfort and deliverance, why did Paul still ask the church
in Corinth to help by praying for him? What role does the church play?
